Our lab presented findings from a 6-month longitudinal study evaluating an implicit bias curriculum for medical students. The project examined changes in students’ confidence in recognizing and mitigating bias, identified which evidence-based strategies they perceived as most effective, and assessed how these perceptions translated into actual clinical practice. Results showed increased self-efficacy over time, with strategies such as perspective-taking and finding common ground emerging as both highly valued and frequently utilized in patient encounters.
